He Lei Ho’oheno “A Cherished Lei”
Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Waiākea High School Warrior Gymnasium, 6:00pm
Waiākea High School will be celebrating He Lei Ho’oheno, “A Cherished Lei” which speaks of the many different types of lei that we cherish as a Waiākea Community. The resources within our community influence the type, shape, and style of lei that is produced. Lei make relevant for who we are, where we come from and perpetuates traditions.
We invite the community to join us as our students, staff, keiki and alumni present the celebration for the many lei of the Waiākea Community, He Lei Ho’oheno. Please join us on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Waiākea High School Warrior Gymnasium, 6:00pm. Tickets are $5 presale from WHS students (or call 974-4888, ext. 362) or at the door.
Prior to this evening performance, there will be a craft/food fair featuring craft items and food booths from school and community members from 2:00 to 6:00pm at our gymnasium.

Parents And Children Together Head Start is accepting applications for the 2014-2015 school year.
Head Start is a federally funded, school readiness program serving low-income families. Eligible children, ages three to five, and their families receive free high quality early childhood education and comprehensive support services (dental, health, nutrition, mental health, disability and family support). Children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
