Pacific Radio Group- Big Island General Contest Rules
 
The following are basic contest rules for any/all contest, both on and off air, featured on
radio stations KAPA-FM, KBIG-FM, NATIVE-FM and ESPN Radio-AM. Each contest
may have its own special qualifications and eligibility rules, in which case, a separate list
of rules will be available for public inspection.
 
Contests are open to all Big Island of Hawaii residents unless otherwise specified. Must
have a valid photo identification. Employees of Pacific Radio Group, its advertising
agencies, their affiliates, representatives, and their families, are ineligible to enter/win
any contest executed on Pacific Radio Group Big Island radio stations. Contests are
limited to one entry per person / per household unless otherwise stated.
 
Pacific Radio Group, its agencies, affiliates, sponsors, or representatives, absolves itself
of any liability, financial or otherwise resultant of any on or off air contest conducted
by Pacific Radio Group. All winners acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that Pacific
Radio Group has the right to publicize and/or broadcast his/her name, character, likeness,
voice, and all matters incidental here-in.
 
All prizes (or applicable certificate thereof) must be claimed in person, and signed
for by the winner, upon presentation of proper identification. (Drivers license, State
I.D., Passport). Designated “winner” representatives will be allowed to claim prizes in
another’s behalf, upon written and telephone confirmation.
 
Prizes or any accumulation of prizes within one (1) year equaling $600 or more will
be reported by Pacific Radio Group to the Internal Revenue Service as required by
law. Winners understand and agree they are responsible for all taxes incurred on prizes
received.
 
All prizes, unless otherwise specified by Pacific Radio Group must be claimed within
(30) days of winning, between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday,
excluding holidays at Pacific Radio Group offices located at 913 Kanoelehua Ave, Hilo
Hi. and 75-5852 Ali’i Drive, Ste B1-B2 Lagoon Tower, Kailua Kona, Hi. Pacific Radio
Group will not presume to notify winners of the time remaining on their winnings. It is
the winner’s responsibility to claim their prize within the specified time frame. Pacific
Radio Group will not mail out prizes to any winners.
 
Pacific Radio Group will not, to unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another
prize, of equal value, for that which was originally won.
 
All prizes are non-transferable.
 
Pacific Radio Group reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke any prize awarded
and to disqualify any individual it finds, to be tampering with the entry process or
the operation of the contest; to be in violation of the Terms of Service of the contest,
to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike
or disruptive manner including theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the
Pacific Radio Group contest phone line and any other behavior deemed disruptive or
unauthorized by Pacific Radio Group or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass
any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or like entry methods will
void all such entries by such methods. Pacific Radio Group will prosecute any fraudulent
 
activities to the full extent of the law.
 
In the event two telephone lines are “tied together” during a phone in contest, the entire
call will be disqualified and another call will be taken. Pacific Radio Group cannot award
duplicate prizes to both parties in a ”tied together” situation. An example of a “tied
together” call may be two telephone calls generated from the same location or residence.
In order to win grand prize, qualifier pulled must be able to be reached at phone number
given at time of drawing.
 
Once a prize is released it becomes the sole responsibility of the winner
and will not be replaced if lost or
stolen.
 
All contest entries become the property of Pacific Radio Group. No purchase necessary to
play/win. Void where prohibited by law. Rules are subject to change without notice. All
decisions are final by Pacific Radio Group.
