Department of Education: Spring break has been extended through the week of March 30th. Students will return the week of April 7th. More Info

Hawaii Preparatory Academy: Face-to-face classes suspended. Classes to resume April 15th. More Info

University of Hawaii President David Lassner announced all classes will move online after spring break. This will be effective starting on Monday, March 23. All classes will now stay online through the end of the semester. More Info

Big Island Interscholastic Federation-All league activities will be suspended from March 16, 2020 to April 13, 2020. More Info

University of Hawaii at Hilo athletics events cancelled through the end of the Spring Season. More Info


Spectrum is offering free broadband and WiFi access to homes with students. The offer only applies to new Spectrum customers who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription. Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and WiFi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps.
