Eddie O was born and raised in Seattle GO HAWKS!, and moved to Hawai’i in 1985. After 2 years of living and working in Waikiki, he moved to the Philippines where he studied Mass Communication. After studying in the Philippines he made his way back to Hawai’i where he landed a gig on KBIG under the guidance of Phil Brewer and Nelson aka Paka Boy Parker.
He is the father of 2 girls, aka the O Twins, who are both elementary school teachers in Hilo. Eddie currently resides in Kona.
